This program will create a bridge to drive equal representation among future generations of dental professionals. Crest + Oral-B Bridges will support promising Black and African American students during their academic training in a dental, dental hygiene, or dental assisting program.

Hispanic and Latino Scholarship Program

The Crest + Oral B BRIDGES Scholarship Program aims to support Hispanic and Latino students during their academic training, creating a bridge to drive equal representation among dental professionals for future generations currently enrolled in a CODA accredited dental or dental hygiene programs. This application is now CLOSED.

The event was hosted with the National Dental Association where 50 Esteemed Members of the NDA gathered to celebrate the Kick Off of Black History Month at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. We had the honor of hosting Dr. Franklyn Aguebor as our speaker with his topic Representation Matters. Over 1,000 virtual attendees joined the event online.

The “meta” or goal of this course is to equip dental professionals to better understand the cultural factors affecting our patients’ behaviors so that we can increase equity in the minority community. You will learn the “why” behind some of the behaviors in the Hispanic and Latin communities, become familiar with the nuances of dealing with Latins, environmental factors that contribute to their decision making, and learn how to leverage our similarities.
