Bonnie G. Branson, RDH, PhD

Dr. Bonnie Branson is Professor Emerita at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, USA. Dr. Branson received her degree in dental hygiene from Midlands Technical College in 1974 and PhD in education from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1992. Her professional service includes numerous board and association positions supporting oral health in Missouri and Kansas. She has experience in public health research, project development and implementation and has an interest in working with school-based sealant programs, projects for the elderly and development of an oral health education. She developed an oral health curriculum for grades K-fifth for the Independence School District. She has numerous published articles and continuing education programs in the field of dental ergonomics and oral health, which document her research efforts. From 2006-2010 she was the lead for Missouri’s Preventive Services Program. Most recently, she served as the Director for Clinical Rotations at the School of Dentistry resulting in experience with Safety Net Programs throughout Missouri and Kansas.
