James L. Harrison, DMD
Dr. Harrison serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he works as a clinical team leader and also as the course director for the practice management curriculum. He earned is undergraduate degree and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville. He received a certificate after his completion of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Dr. Harrison started a denovo practice after his residency program and own and operated his dental practice for over 10 years. Dr. Harrison has published peer-reviewed research as the lead author in the Journal of Dental Education. He is the lead editor of a 2nd edition textbook, Business Basics for Dentists. Dr. Harrison has served in many leadership roles faulty senate, faculty advisor for student organizations, Chair of the Practice Management Section of the American Dental Education Association(ADEA), and also on the administrative board of the Council of Sections of ADEA. Dr. Harrison was recently nominated and accepted to be a fellow of the American College of Dentist.
