Kenneth S Barrack

Dr. Barrack graduated from Emory College in 1981 and Emory Dental School in Atlanta, Georgia in 1985. First, he was a general dentist in the U.S. Navy at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, earning a Navy Commendation Medal for meritorious life-saving action. Then he completed the postgraduate program in prosthodontics at New York University on an Air Force scholarship, becoming a specialist in prosthodontics in 1990. He opened the Carolina Center for Restorative Dentistry in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina in 1995. He is also a dental technician and owns and operates Dental Innovations Laboratory. The laboratory is located adjacent to the office which means your crowns and dentures can be created right here.


Dr. Barrack was stationed at Charleston Air Force Base as the staff Prosthodontist, the Chief of Professional Dental Services and the Laboratory Officer. He was a denture care consulting board member for Procter and Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a consultant, he provided input on denture care products.


Dr. Barrack is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, Charleston Dental Society and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a past president of the South Carolina section of the American College of Prosthodontists and a past president of the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics. Both he and Dr. Patel are co-directors of the Carolina Dental Forum, a Seattle Study Club. Dr. Barrack has also authored several articles in the dental literature.


Dr. Barrack's passion for his work has led him to teaching other dentists about prosthodontics. He was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry and was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is a regular lecturer for the Senior Seminar Series.
