Michaell A. Huber, DDS
Dr. Michaell A. Huber is a 1980 graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduation, he embarked upon 22-year career serving in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He received a Certificate in Oral Medicine from the National Naval Dental Center, Bethesda, Maryland in 1988 and is diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine. From 1996-1998, he served as Chairman, Department of Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Radiology; Director, Graduate Program in Oral Medicine, National Naval Dental Center, Bethesda, Maryland; and as Specialty Leader for Oral Medicine to the Surgeon General of the United States Navy, Washington, DC. In 2002, Dr. Huber returned to his alma mater to teach both pre-doctoral and graduate dental students. He is a recipient of the 2014 UTHSCSA Presidential Teaching Excellence Award, the 2018 Diamond Pin Award from the American Academy of Oral Medicine, and the 2019 UT Regents Outstanding Teaching Award. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Huber retired from his full-time faculty position in the summer of 2020, but continues to support the School of Dentistry’s mission of teaching excellence as an Adjunct Professor. He is a member of the dentalcare.com Advisory Board and currently serves as a member of the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards.
