Introduction
The x-ray technology of today is a result of more than 120 years of evolution. It is essential to know how this discovery began, but it is more important to understand its basic physical concepts. To understand we generate x-rays, dental professionals should have a clear understanding of the atomic structure, ionizing radiation, and the properties of x-rays. Also, they need to have a clear understanding of the dental x-ray machine and its components.
The purpose of this course is to explain all the basic concepts of x-ray generation, the equipment needed and how it works, and how x-rays interact with matter.
