Dental Hygiene or Mental Hygiene: Reflecting on One’s Mental Health Through Screening Tools
In recent years, mental health screening tools have become a routine part of medical check-ups, reflecting the growing recognition of mental well-being as a critical component of one’s overall health. Mental health screening tools can be powerful assessments for early detection and increased self-awareness regarding one’s mental health or mental illness. These assessment resources are not considered diagnostic tools but rather valuable tools for personal insight and early detection of symptoms related to mental health conditions. When necessary, individuals should seek care from medical or mental health professionals if they are experiencing any signs and symptoms suggestive of mental illness. Thus, let’s start by recognizing and acknowledging the state of one's mental health.
